Infamous Godzilla x Hamtaro Double-Screening Returns, Complete With New Figures

Back in December 2001, the feature films Godzilla, Mothra, and King Ghidorah: Giant Monsters All-Out Attack and Hamtaro: Adventures in Ham-Ham Land screened alongside each other in theaters. The double-screening spawned the character "Godziham-kun", and Godziham-kun figures were given out to film-goers at the time.

And now, to celebrate the 20th anniversary of that unusual collaboration, the double-screening of the two films returns to theaters this December.

The films will be screened in Tokyo's Shin-Bungeiza theater and Kyoto's Minami-Kaikan theater on December 11 and December 19 respectively. And just like the original double-screening, attendees will receive one of three randomly selected Godziham-kun figures, as well as a bonus gift of a postcard illustrated by Hamtaro creator Ritsuko Kawai.

For those who wish to purchase the Godziham-kun figures directly, they are currently available for pre-order at Godzilla's online store, and will be shipped out on February 8, 2022.
