Jojo's Bizarre Adventure Inspires Model Alton Mason's Outfit to Met Gala

On Monday, American actor, model, and dancer Alton Mason appeared at the Met Gala in an outfit inspired by JoJo's Bizarre Adventure: Golden Wind's main character Giorno Giovanna. Mason confirmed his outfit's inspiration with American fashion outlet Teen Vogue saying, “I have a favorite anime, it's called Jojo['s Bizarre Adventure], and this is an ode to it. Giorno Giovanna has a cut-out, so I decided to include that.”
The Met Gala took place at The Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City on May 5. The dress code for the evening was “Tailored for You” in support of The Met's spring exhibition, which shares the gala's theme of "Superfine: Tailoring Black Style” celebrating the history of Black dandyism.
