The pop-up store had been open from October 31 2025 to January 7 2026. Since then, the site has been a branch of JP Books.The pop-up was the first Animate store to appear in the UK. Animate Ltd's Japanese stores include one in the Tokyo district of Ikebukuro, which was certified by Guinness World Record in March 2024 as the world's largest anime shop/store.
