Kawamoto's credits include Cowboy Bebop, several Gundam series, Golden Boy, and the cinematic for The Ghost in the Shell video game. The Mondo Media project Kawamoto will be working on is a science fiction action adventure, currently titled Spiral, where he will contribute character designs using the unique anime style for which he is famous. Spiral will be available on the Mondo Media Network later this year. "Kawamoto-san is one of the top character designers in Japan, and many of his anime projects, like Cowboy Bebop and Golden Boy, are among my all-time favorites," says Mark Giambruno, art director for Spiral. " We looked at an incredible number of possible designers, but Kawamoto-san was our top choice. Having him doing the design work for our project is a dream come true." Also recently contracted for the Spiral project is key animator Cindy Yamauchi, whose Japanese anime credits include Akira, Venus Wars and Ranma ½.
