According to a thread on Anime on DVD's forum, billboards have started to appear in California, advertising an orange energy drink with Rio from the Burn Up W anime series. "She's in her short-skirt, chest-stretched uniform - I guess a naked-bungee-jumping version would've caused too may accidents." According ADV representative David Williams, the company licensed Rio's image and an anime clip for an adverting campaign that should be nation-wide and extend beyond billboards.
