Anime Figurines from Southern Island

Funimation Properties to be Made into Figurines
Southern Island, which received action figure licenses for several Funimation properties in June, will be releasing their first anime based models in early 2006. Funimation awarded Southern Island the master toy license for Case Closed, as well as action figure licenses for Fullmetal Alchemist, Fruits Basket and Blue Gender.
Client Distribution Services, which distributes Tokyopop's graphic novels, will distribute Southern Islands anime-based products to the booktrade. The first figure, a Tohru Honda bust (Fruits Basket), will be available exclusively through Borders and Waldenbooks in early March.
The first figures available at other stores will be Kyo and Tohru Action Figures, available in May. Southern Island's anime-based products, which will include Fullmetal Alchemist, Case Closed and Blue Gender, will also be available through Diamond Distributors, AAAAnime and other distributors and retailers.
