Video Business reports that Sony Pictures Home Entertainment has been named the exclusive distributor for Anchor Bay Entertainment and its sister Starz Media subsidiary Manga Entertainment in worldwide markets outside the United States, Canada, Australia, and Great Britain. Plans are already underway for Sony to distribute Manga's Ghost in the Shell and Street Fighter II, although it is not clear exactly to which works in those franchises the contract applies to. Anchor Bay hopes to use this partnership to extend its market presence in Europe, Asia and Latin America.
