This year's 21st issue (released on April 21) of Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump has announced that Yudetamago's Kinnikuman wrestling hero title and Youichi Takahashi's Captain Tsubasa soccer title will return to the magazine after two decades. The planned one-shot manga are part of the 40th anniversary celebration for the magazine that also includes the new special animation being created for Dragon Ball and One Piece. Kochira Katsushika-ku Kamearikouen-mae Hashutsujo (Kochikame), Osamu Akimoto's police comedy manga that is still running after more than three decades, will also have a special extended one-shot manga.

Kinnikuman has been imported into America as the M.U.S.C.L.E. toys and the recent Ultimate Muscle (Kinnikuman Nisei - Second Generations) manga/anime spinoff. Viz Media has been publishing the Ultimate Muscle: The Kinnikuman Legacy which deals with the son of the first Kinnikuman, but the upcoming one-shot manga will center on the original hero. The Yudetamago artist duo's return is scheduled for June 16 in the magazine's 29th issue, while Captain Tsubasa and Kochikame's one-shot manga have not been dated yet.
