The North American anime distributor ADV Films reportedly revealed at Sogen Con 2008 in South Dakota this weekend that it acquired an anime project based on Visual Art's/Key's Clannad visual novel franchise. There is no confirmation on whether the reported license is for the 2007 animated film, the 2007 animated television series, or this October's Clannad After Story television series. ADV Films Sales Account Manager Chris Oarr declined to confirm or deny the report.
Update: Sogen Con has confirmed that Matt Greenfield, Senior V.P. of content and acquisitions at ADV Films, and voice actor Chris Ayres announced a Clannad anime license this past weekend.
Update 2: Corrected voice actor Chris Ayres' name. Thanks, Hunter Gren.
