Japanese Comic Ranking, March 29-April 4

Eva's 1st #1 on chart; Bleach, Gintama, DMC, Nurarihyon land in top 5

Yoshiyuki Sadamoto's Neon Genesis Evangelion sold 429,868 copies of its 12th volume to debut at #1 for the first time since Oricon started publishing book ranking charts nearly three years ago. It is also the first volume in the series in nearly three years; the 11th volume debuted at #1 on Tohan's chart in June of 2007. Osamu Takahashi's Neon Genesis Evangelion: Shinji Ikari Raising Project manga spinoff only reached #7 last year.
