posted on by Gia Manry
Viz Media announced in the December issue of its Shonen Jump magazine that it will launch a new online supplement to the print publication. According to the announcement, subscribers have exclusive access to the supplement at ShonenJump.com, and it will include at least three manga titles:
Details on the new program have not been revealed in the magazine or online, although the company's Twitter account has hinted at a big announcement this week.
Viz Media already offers online previews for upcoming issues of Shonen Jump; these existing previews feature 15 to 25 pages of the manga titles appearing in the magazine, such as Naruto, Bleach, and One Piece. The company also offers digital releases of Rumiko Takahashi's RIN-NE that coincides with the series' Japanese release, as well as a variety of digital titles available at ShonenSunday.com and SigIkki.com. (Viz's Shonen Jump manga titles come from Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump magazine and related publications, whereas RIN-NE and the SigIkki manga titles come from Shogakukan's Weekly Shonen Sunday and Ikki magazines.)
