High School Zombies, CGI Space Opera from Manga in August

Manga Entertainment is planning August releases for Highschool of the Dead and To, according to its Facebook page. Highschool of the Dead will be released in a single collection on DVD/Blu-Ray on August 29. To will be released on DVD/Blu-Ray on August 1.
Highschool of the Dead deals with a group of high school students caught up in a zombie apocalypse. Based on the gory manga by Daisuke Satō and Shōji Satō, the twelve-part TV version was made at Madhouse by Death Note director Tetsuro Araki.
To is a CG space-opera, originally released in Japan as a two-part OAV. It is directed by Fumihiko Sori, who was involved in two earlier CGI anime. Sori handled production on the first CGI Appleseed film, before directing the film Vexille. Away from SF, he also directed a live-action film version of a manga, the sports comedy Ping Pong.
