Bandai Entertainment Adds 2 Tales of the Abyss Manga

posted on by Gia Manry
Asch's first volume bundled with Tales of the Abyss anime, also sold separately

Bandai Entertainment has issued a press release announcing that it has acquired the license to two manga spinoffs based on the 2003 Tales of the Abyss PlayStation 2 role-playing videogame. The first is Rin Nijyo and Hana Saitō's manga Tales of the Abyss: Asch: the Bloody (Tales of the Abyss: Senketsu no Asch), and the second is Takumi Miyajima and Ayumi Kanou's Tales of the Abyss: Jade's Secret Memories (Tales of the Abyss: Tsuioku no Jade).

The first volume of Asch the Bloody will also be bundled with the limited edition part one release of the Tales of the Abyss TV anime, which Bandai announced at last year's Comic-Con International and will release on June 7. The limited edition release's suggested retail price (SRP) is US$34.98, while the regular edition, which does not include the manga, has an SRP of US$29.98. Both manga's first volumes will also be sold separately. Retailer Amazon.com currently lists Asch: the Bloody's first volume as having an August 16 release date and an SRP of US$10.99.
