Brighton Screening Change

posted on by Andrew Osmond
Saturday screening of live-action Dororo replaced by Burst Angel.

According to the Brighton Japan Festival website, Saturday's double-bill of films at the 'Festival Hub' (in front of Brighton's Moshi Moshi restaurant - click 'location' for map) has been changed, The live-action Cutie Honey (directed by Hideaki Anno from Gō Nagai's manga) will still be screened, but the live-action film Dororo (based on Osamu Tezuka's manga) has been replaced a screening of the anime Burst Angel.

It is not clear from the website which episode, or episodes, of Burst Angel will be shown. The anime consists of 24 TV episodes and one spinoff OAV (entitled Burst Angel: Infinity).

The double-bill will take place on Saturday 18 June from 1930. Tickets are £5 in advance, or £6 on the door. The event also includes 'an audio-visual DJ set of KanZeOn, a film exploring the mystical understanding of sound through encounters with religious musicians in Japan.'
