Sony's Hirai: PS Vita Ships Outside Japan in Early 2012

The news agency Reuters reported on Thursday that Sony will release the PlayStation Vita (PS Vita) — the successor to the PSP handheld system — within the year in Japan, but early next year in Europe and the United States. Reuters was covering an interview that Sony Computer Entertainment Chairman Kazuo Hirai conducted with Reuters and other organizations.
Sony revealed the PSP successor in January and demonstrated it at the E3 conference in June
