Sunrise's loose TV adaptation of Idolm@ster game franchise to be on subbed DVD in 2012

North American anime licensing company Sentai Filmworks announced on Saturday that it acquired the iDOLM@STER: XENOGLOSSIA television anime series. The anime will be available through digital outlets and on subtitled DVD later this year.

iDOLM@STER: XENOGLOSSIA is Sunrise's 2007 loose television anime adaptation of Bandai Namco Games' The IDOLM@STER game franchise. It combines the concept of budding idol singers from the games with robotic mecha. It predates A-1 Pictures' more direct adaptation by four years.
