gdgd Fairies Writer Not Returning for 2nd Season

Writer Kōtarō Ishidate confirmed on Twitter on Friday that he will not be returning for the second season of the CG gdgd Fairies anime. He said that the reason behind this is not because he is too busy or anything similar, but a judgement from the higher-ups. He then added, "If I make any comments on this issue, it will make problems for people in various places, so I'll just say that it's due to 'adult circumstances.'"
The fully computer-animated series centers around three little fairies with weak magical powers who live inside the trees in Fairy Forest.
The series' official website confirmed that lead voice actresses Suzuko Mimori, Kaoru Mizuhara, and Satomi Akesaka are reprising their roles.
The second season will premiere in January.
