All You Need is Kill Film's Date Pushed Forward 1 Week

posted on by Crystalyn Hodgkins

Warner Bros.' upcoming live-action film adaptation of Hiroshi Sakurazaka's Japanese prose novel All You Need Is Kill now has a release date of March 7, 2014. The film was originally slated for release on March 14, 2014. Tom Cruise, Emily Blunt, Charlotte Riley, and Kick Gurry are starring in the film. Doug Liman (The Bourne Identity, Mr. and Mrs. Smith) is directing. The film began production in London's Leavesden Studios last month.

Viz Media published Sakurazaka's novel in English to launch its Haikasoru imprint for Japanese science fiction and fantasy in 2009. The book's cover art was drawn by Yoshitoshi ABe (Serial Experiments Lain, Haibane Renmei). The novel and film revolve around a battle-armored soldier who finds himself dying and re-incarnating over and over again.
