Kotoura-san Anime Previewed in Promo, Daichi Web Episode

posted on by Sarah Nelkin
Megumi Nakajima theme in January show about girl with ESP & her new school's ESP club

The official YouTube channel for the Kotoura-san anime series began streaming the latest 90-second promotional video and the fourth mini episode about the character Daichi Muroto (played by Hiro Shimono) on Friday.

The promotional video introduces footage and character from the anime itself, and features the series' opening theme, "Sonna Koto Ura no Mata Urabanashi Desho?" by Megumi Nakajima.

Each of the six weekly "Haruka no Heya" (Haruka's Room) mini episodes has Haruka introducing one of the series' characters. In the fourth episode, Haruka puts Daichi in the interviewee's chair.

Haruka is a girl who can read people's minds, and she joins the ESP Club after transferring to a new school. Mifune is the female president of the ESP Club.

The main cast also includes Jun Fukushima (Working!!, La storia della Arcana Famiglia) as Yoshihisa Manabe, Yurika Kubo (Love Live! School idol project, Muv-Luv Alternative: Total Eclipse) as Hiyori Moritani, and Kana Hanazawa (Kobato., Sketchbook ~full color'S~) as Yuriko Mifune.

Masahiko Ohta (Minami-ke, Mitsudomoe, Yuruyuri) is directing the anime at the studio AIC Classic. Takashi Aoshima (Minami-ke, Mitsudomoe, Yuruyuri) is in charge of the series scripts, while Takaharu Ōkuma (Mitsudomoe, Hanaukyo Maid-tai) is serving as the character designer and chief animation director. Enokids created the original four-panel online romantic comedy manga.

The anime will premiere in Japan on January 10.

Update: Mini episode number and Jun Fukushima's spelling corrected. Thanks, IkariGendo and YoshiYoshi.
