Fafner Exodus Sequel to Be 26-Episode TV Series

Anime studio XEBEC zwei announced on Friday that its upcoming Fafner sequel, Sōkyū no Fafner: Dead Aggressor: Exodus, will be a 26-episode television series and is currently in production. The official website for the new television anime launched in January.
The anime is set in the year 2151, two and a half years after the film Sōkyū no Fafner: Dead Aggressor: Heaven and Earth. The sequel will reunite the main staff from the first Fafner television series, including director Nobuyoshi Habara at XEBEC zwei and XEBEC. Tow Ubukata is writing the project, and King Records' Gou Nakanishi is a producer.
Ubukata revealed in December that he has plans to release both film and television anime projects in development for the Summer-Fall 2013 time frame.
