Boys-love series by Finder creator gets print-only release starting in December

SuBLime, the boys-love imprint of the North American manga publisher Viz Media, announced on Monday that it has licensed Ayano Yamane's Crimson Spell manga. SuBLime will release the manga in print only as the digital rights are not available for the title at this time. The first volume will ship in December 2013, with the next three volumes shipping in February, April, and June 2014 respectively.

The boys-love manga follows Prince Vald, who has been cursed by a magical crimson sword that turns him into a monster at night. Vald goes on a journey with the magician Havi to break the curse. Tokuma Shoten released the fifth volume in the series in Japan in March.

Media Blasters Kitty Media label had previously released the first two volumes in the series in English in 2007-2008.

Digital Manga Inc. is releasing Yamane's Finder manga in North America and the company previously also released Yamane's A Foreign Love Affair manga in North America. A Foreign Love Affair inspired a two-episode video anime series in 2007 and the Finder series inspired an "Animix" adaptation in 2010.
