Blue Exorcist Spin-Off One-Shot Manga Becomes Full Series

Minoru Sasaki's Salaryman Exorcist: The Sorrow of Yukio Okumura supervised by creator Kazue Katō
The ninth issue of Shueisha's Jump Square magazine is announcing on August 19 that Salaryman Exorcist: Okumura Yukio no Aishū (Salaryman Exorcist: The Sorrow of Yukio Okumura), a spinoff manga of Kazue Katō's Blue Exorcist series, will become a regular series in the next magazine issue on October 19.
Minoru Sasaki drew the manga as a one-shot in the magazine's seventh issue in April under the supervision of Katō. The gag comedy follows the daily life of the overworked Yukio as he stresses over his twin brother Rin.
Katō's original manga also inspired both a television anime and a movie. The 11th volume of the manga went on sale in Japan this month, and the series as a whole has over 11 million copies.
