The November issue of Houbunsha's Manga Time Kirara Miracle magazine is announcing the main cast for the anime adaptation of Tachi's four-panel yuri Sakura Trick manga on Saturday. Haruka Tomatsu (Anohana, Sword Art Online, To Love-Ru -Trouble- Darkness) will star as Haruka Takayama, while Yuka Iguchi (Monogatari Series Second Season, Haganai, Ro-Kyu-Bu!) will play Yū Sonoda.
Ryosuke Nakanishi (D.C.III ~Da Capo III~, Kuroko's Basketball, High School DxD) will compose the series' music, and Satoki Iida (Fate/kaleid liner Prisma Illya, Danganronpa The Animation, Amagami SS+) will serve as sound director with the sound studio Dax Production.
The story revolves around Haruka and Yū, two girls who go to a high school that is slated to be shut down in three years. To share "something special" between them, they share a kiss, and their relationship deepens from that moment onward.
Ken'ichi Ishikura (D.C.III ~Da Capo III~, Hidamari Sketch × Hoshimittsu, Natsu no Arashi! Akinai-chū) is directing the series at Studio DEEN. Kyuta Sakai (Humanity Has Declined, Steins;Gate, When They Cry - Higurashi) is designing the characters.
Tachi launched the manga in Manga Time Kirara Miracle! in 2011, and Houbunsha published the second volume in February.
The series will air on TBS and BS-TBS stations this winter.
