Theme song "Hikōki Gumo" featured in video for film opening in U.S. in February

The Wall Street Journal began streaming an English-subtitled trailer clip on Thursday for The Wind Rises, the 11th and final feature film from Studio Ghibli co-founder Hayao Miyazaki. The clip features Yumi Matsutoya's ending theme song "Hikōki Gumo."

The film played in New York and Los Angeles in November, and it will open across the United States starting February 21.

Disney will release the film in North America, and Studio Ghibli International produced the English-language dub starring Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Emily Blunt with producer Frank Marshall (From Up On Poppy Hill, The Secret World of Arrietty, Ponyo).

Miyazaki's film has picked up multiple awards, including Best Animated Feature from the Online Film Critics Society , the Toronto Film Critics Association, New York Film Critics Circle, The National Board of Review, The Boston Society of Film Critics, and the San Diego Film Critics Society, and was the runner-up in The Los Angeles Film Critics Association Awards' Best Animation category.

The Wind Rises is nominated for a Golden Globe award and was submitted for an Oscar nomination. Composer Joe Hisaishi also made the shortlist for Best Original Score Oscar nomination. The film was nominated for the Asia Pacific Screen Awards but did not win, and is nominated for an Annie Award and a Satellite Award.
