Mushishi: The Next Chapter Slated for Fall After Special Airs in August

The official website for the Mushishi: The Next Chapter television anime announced on Saturday that the one-hour Mushishi Tokubetsu-hen: Odoro no Michi (Mushishi Special: Path of Thorns) anime special is slated to air on the BS11 channel on August 20, followed by a broadcast on Tokyo MX on August 24. The website also confirmed that the "second half" of Mushishi: The Next Chapter is slated to premiere this fall.
The tenth and final episode of the "first half" premiered on June 20. The anime's first Blu-ray Disc and DVD release will ship on July 23.
The anime's first special, Mushishi Tokubetsu-hen: Hihamukage (Mushishi Special: Sun-Eating Shade), aired in January.
