The King of Fighters XIV PS4 Game to Feature 50 Fighters

Sony announced at the PlayStation Experience event on Saturday via a new trailer that it has added Billy Kane, Kula, King, Angel, and Ralf as playable characters. The characters join the lineup alongside the previously announced Kyo Kusanagi, Iori Yagami, Leona Heidern, Chang Koehan, and Andy Bogard.
The video confirms that the game will have 3-on-3 battles and will feature a roster of 50 fighters, including new characters to the franchise. Sony stated that while the game visuals will feature 3D graphics, the game keeps the classic 2D gameplay. The game will also feature new multiplayer online modes such as the Party Battle mode. The mode will feature up to six people in an online battle (three players per team). The game's storyline will also feature a new arc.
SNK Playmore plans to release the game next year.
SNK Playmore released an arcade version of the latest installment in The King of Fighters franchise, King of Fighters XIII, in Japan in July 2010. The company then released a PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 version in North America, Europe, and Japan in 2011. SNK Playmore USA also released the game for PC on Steam.
