Hawaii's Kawaii Kon Hosts Kanae Itō as Guest

Musical guests Luna Haruna, Joe Inoue, Bless4, LOVERIN TAMBURIN also to attend April convention

Hawaii convention Kawaii Kon announced on Tuesday that it will host voice actress and singer Kanae Itō as a guest. This is the first time that Itō will attend a North American convention.

Itō made her major debut in the 2007 Shugo Chara! anime, playing the role of Amu Hinamori and Dia. Since then, she has voiced numerous roles in both anime and video games. She has played roles in such anime as Sword Art Online (Yui), Divine Gate (Midori), A Certain Scientific Railgun (Ruiko Saten), Magical Girl Lyrical Nanoha ViVid (Miura Rinaldi), Hanasaku Iroha - Blossoms for Tomorrow (Ohana Matsumae), Haganai (Sena Kashiwazaki), The World God Only Knows (Elysia de Lute Ima), and To Love-Ru (Nana Astar Deviluke). She has also appeared in such games as Final Fantasy XIII (Lumina), Ar Tonelico 2 (Cynthia), and Granblue Fantasy (Sturm).

She has also performed theme songs for some of the anime where she played a main role. She also made her first live-action appearance in the Yōjū Mameshiba show in 2009.

Kawaii Kon will take place at the Hawaii Convention Center from April 7 to 9. Other guests include band Hanafugetsu (who are also members of Wagakki Band), band Bless4 (Izetta: The Last Witch), band LOVERIN TAMBURIN (Disgaea), singer Luna Haruna (Fate/Zero, Sword Art Online), singer Joe Inoue (Naruto Shippūden), singer and voice actress Mai Aizawa (Lucky Star's Ayano Minegishi), and voice actress Ryoko Shiraishi (Hayate the Combat Butler's Hayate). The convention will also host the following voice actors and actors: Zach Callison, Janet Varney, Dante Basco, Erica Mendez, David Vincent, and Vic Mignogna.
