Tekken 7 Adds Fatal Fury's Geese Howard as Playable Character

posted on by Rafael Antonio Pineda
Fatal Fury's 1st main antagonist arrives this winter

Bandai Namco Entertainment revealed during the Evolution Championship Series 2017 tournament on Sunday that it will add the character Geese Howard from SNK's Fatal Fury and The King of Fighters series to its Tekken 7 fighting game this winter.

Geese Howard debuted in the first Fatal Fury game in 1991, and is the first main antagonist in the series as the nemesis of main character Terry Bogard. Geese Howard most recently appeared in SNK's The King of Fighters XIV cross-over fighting game after a long absence in the series. The game shipped last August.

Tekken 7 launched for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Windows PC via Steam on June 2. The game was originally slated for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and the PC in the West in early 2017, and in spring 2017 in Japan.

Bandai Namco Entertainment released an arcade update for Tekken 7 titled Tekken 7: Fated Retribution in July 2016 in Japan. The update includes a graphics update as well as a new system, new stages, new costumes, new items, and new characters. Bandai Namco Entertainment added Akuma (Gōki) from CAPCOM's Street Fighter games and Nina Williams as playable characters in the update. Tekken 7: Fated Retribution is the basis for the game's launch on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
