Aria Magazine Manga Series' Fates Revealed

Kodansha's ARIA magazine announced the destinations of all its series in its final issue on Saturday.

Kaori Yuki's Alice in Murderland and Tōko Mizuno's Harukanaru Toki no Naka de 6 will move to Shonen Magazine Edge in the August issue on July 17. NisiOisin and Suzuka Oda's Bishōnen Tanteidan will launch in the magazine's November issue on October 17. Alice in Murderland is also already available on Kodansha and pixiv's new "Palcy" manga app, and Bishōnen Tanteidan will launch on the service on April 30.

Nikki Asada's Ōji ga Watashi o Akiramenai! will move to Nakayoshi in the magazine's August issue on July 3. It is also launching on Palcy on Saturday.

The following series will move to Palcy:

  • Mermaid Boys by Yomi Sarachi, launching with chapter 1 on April 28 and continuing with new chapters in July
  • Akane Sasu Sekai de Kimi to Utau by Aya Tanaka and GCREST, launching with chapter 1 on May 5 and continuing with new chapters in July
  • Anidol Colors by Junta Mio and Voltage, launching with chapter 1 on June 7 and continuing with new chapters in August
  • Inuwashi Momo wa Yuruganai by Lalako Kojima, launching with chapter 1 on April 29 and continuing with new chapters this fall
  • Onee to Danshi, Tokidoki Gohan by Fujiko Kosumi, launching with chapter 1 this summer
  • Kojika Sensei wa Mōjū no Ori no Naka by Yui Kuroe, launching with chapter 1 and new chapters around July
  • Seifuku no Ragnarok by Hikaru Midorikawa and Ichi Sayo, launching with chapter 1 on May 6 and continuing with new chapters in July
  • DEATHpedia by Rima Amamiya, launching with chapter 1 and new chapters in August

Kaomoji and Uuno's Pochapeko will begin new chapters on pixiv Comic on June 8, and Kanako Ekawa's Josōdanshi will begin new chapters on June 1.

Six series also ended in the magazine's final issue.

Kodansha launched the monthly shōjo/jōsei magazine in July 2010. It has since been the home of such creators as naked ape (Magnolia), Kaori Yuki (Demon from Afar, Kakei no Alice), Akira Hiyoshimaru (First Love Monster), Kairi Shimotsuki (Nightmare Express), Ema Toyama (Manga Dogs), Chika (This Is a Love Story), and voice actor-turned-manga creator Hikaru Midorikawa (Seifuku no Ragnarok).
