The concert will have performances starting in Tokyo on September 12-17, and then in Miyagi on September 20-21, in Osaka on October 6-8, and in Hokkaido on October 13. The musicals ran a similar event last year.

"Shinken Ranbu Sai" features the actors of the musicals in live performances. This year's event will launch in Fukui on November 24, and continue to Tokyo on November 27-28, in Miyagi on December 5-6, in Osaka on December 11-12, and in Chiba on December 15-16. The previous "Shinken Ranbu Sai" event was held last December in Tokyo, Osaka, and Saitama, and the first event was held in December 2016 in Osaka and Tokyo.

The fifth stage musical debuted on March 24, with its final performance in Tokyo on Sunday.

Touken Ranbu - Atsukashiyama Ibun, the first stage musical, held its first trial performance in 2015, with its debut run held from May to June 2016. The second musical, Touken Ranbu - Bakumatsu Tenrōden, ran from September to October 2016, with a final performance in Tokyo in November 2016. Tōken Ranbu Mihotose no Komoriuta, the franchise's third stage musical, ran from March to April 2017. Touken Ranbu - Tsuwamono Domo ga Yume no Ato, the fourth stage musical, debuted in December and ran through January.

The first stage musical will hold its first European performance in Paris on July 15 as part of the Japonisme 2018 event, and will then run in Japan in August.

The franchise is also inspiring a separate series of stage plays. The fifth stage play will run from June 2 to July 29.
