The official website for You Don't Know Gunma Yet, the television anime shorts based on Hiroto Ida's Omae wa Mada Gunma o Shiranai manga, revealed on Wednesday that Yui Ogura and Tomokazu Sugita are joining the show's cast.
Ogura plays Teruna Ieki (nickname: Ietty), who is Kyō Shinooka's friend and a JKJ member. Ogura herself is from Gunma Prefecture, and she also voiced Nori Kamitsuki's cousin Minoru in the show's eighth episode. Sugita plays Yajiru, an upperclassman of the main characters.
The comedy manga centers on Nori Kamitsuki, who moves from Chiba Prefecture to a fictionalized version of Gunma Prefecture northwest of Tokyo, and the story focuses on Gunma's culture. Before moving to Gunma, Kamitsuki only sees that the prefecture has a fearsome reputation on the net. Upon moving, he soon makes contact with the people who hold a strong love of Gunma's culture.
Mankyū (The [email protected] Cinderella Girls Gekijō) is directing the anime at Asahi Production (in collaboration with CJT) and supervising its series scripts. Tomonori Kogawa (Densetsu Kyojin Ideon, Aura Battler Dunbine, Xabungle) is designing the characters. Aya Uchida is contributing the song "So Happy" as the anime's ending theme song.
