Professor Layton and the Curious Village iOS/Android Port Previewed in Video

Level 5 began streaming a video for Layton Kyōju to Fushigi na Machi EXHD for Smartphone (Professor Layton and the Curious Village EXHD for Smartphone), an iOS and Android port of the first Professor Layton game, on Thursday. The game is slated to launch this month for 1,200 yen (about US$11).
The port will have HD graphics and new animation scenes that were not in the original game.
The Professor Layton and the Curious Village Nintendo DS game debuted in Japan in 2007 and the West in 2008. The game previously had a port for Panasonic's DoCoMo P906i handset.
The newest game in the franchise, Layton's Mystery Journey: Katrielle and the Millionaires' Conspiracy (Layton Mystery Journey: Katriel to Daifugō no Inbō), debuted for iOS and Android last July. The game also launched for Nintendo 3DS on the same day in Japan and on October 6 in the West. An anime adaptation premiered on April 8.
