1st season based on ONE's manga premiered in July 2016

The official Facebook page for Adult Swim's Toonami programming block announced on Friday that it is adding the first season of the Mob Psycho 100 anime to the block on October 27 at 11:30 p.m.

The anime adaptation of ONE's original manga premiered in Japan in July 2016 and Crunchyroll streamed the series with English subtitles as it aired in Japan. Funimation streamed an English dub for the anime in December 2016, and released the anime on home video in May 2017.

Funimation describes the story:

Kageyama Shigeo (a.k.a. Mob) is an 8th grader with powerful psychic abilities. Workingunder his not-so-capable master, Reigen, Mob uses his powers to exorcise evil spirits. But his will to be normal causes him to suppress his powers and feelings until he hits 100 percent — a point where his pent-up emotions are unleashed and a darker power takes over.

Tthe anime received an event anime centered on the character Reigen in March, and Crunchyroll is streaming the anime. The event revealed the main anime's second season, which will premiere in January.

The manga also inspired a live-action drama starring Tatsuo Hamada in January. TV Tokyo produced the live-action show in collaboration with Netflix. Netflix US premiered the show on May 22.

The manga has also inspired two stage plays. The first stage play ran from January 6-14 at The Galaxy Theatre in Tokyo. The second play ran at The Galaxy Theatre in Tokyo from September 13-17 and at Shinkobe Oriental Theater in Hyōgo from September 20-23.

ONE (One-Punch Man) launched the manga on Ura Sunday in 2012 and later in Shogakukan's Manga ONE app in 2014. Shogakukan published the manga's 16th and final compiled book volume on July 19.
