  • Takashi Matsuo as Chihaya
  • Yōsuke Sugino as Hyō
  • Yuri Nakamura as Kumi
  • Anna Iriyama as Kanna
  • Shōma Kai as Tatsuki

The five-episode sequel will debut on dTV and FOD on March 23, and new episodes will premiere every Saturday.

Kentaro Otani (live-action Black Butler, Nana films) and Ryō Miyawaki are returning to direct the series, and Miyako Matsumoto is again writing the script. Da-iCE is also returning to perform the theme song "Isshō no Onegai" (Lifelong Wish).

The original manga ran in Shogakukan's Sho-Comi magazine from 2010 to 2012. Shogakukan published the manga in 10 compiled volumes that have more than 2 million copies in print.

Sugiyama's 4-Gatsu no Kimi, Spica romance manga inspired a live-action drama that bundled with an issue of Sho-Comi magazine in April 2016. The manga ended in April 2017.
