Live-Action Kaguya-sama: Love is War Film Casts Hayato Sano

The official website for the live-action film adaptation of Aka Akasaka's Kaguya-sama: Love is War (Kaguya-sama wa Kokurasetai - Tensai-tachi no Renai Zunōsen) manga revealed on Monday that Hayato Sano (live-action 3D Kanojo Real Girl's Tsuttsun) will play the character Yū Ishigami.
The film will open on September 6. King & Prince idol group member Shō Hirano (seen top in poster visual below) will play Miyuki Shirogane, and Kanna Hashimoto (bottom) will play Kaguya Shinomiya.
Hayato Kawai (live-action My Love Story!!, Nisekoi) is directing the film. Yūichi Tokunaga (live-action Tonde Saitama, Princess Jellyfish series) is penning the script.

Kaguya Shinomiya and Miyuki Shirogane are two geniuses who stand atop their prestigious academy's student council, making them the elite among elite. And so begins their daily schemes to force the other to confess first!
Akasaka began the series in Shueisha's Miracle Jump magazine in May 2015 but moved it to Young Jump in March 2016.
The manga inspired a television anime adaptation that premiered on January 12 and aired for 12 episodes. Aniplex of America streamed the series on Hulu, Crunchyroll, and FunimationNow.
