Bandai Namco Entertainment announced on Friday that the Sword Art Online: Fatal Bullet Complete Edition game will launch for Nintendo Switch in Japan on August 8. Bandai Namco Entertainment America also announced that it will release the game on August 9. A Japanese trailer began streaming to preview the release.
The "Complete Edition" of the game features all three previous DLC releases and the "Dissonance of Fate" expansion content. The release launched for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC via Steam in Japan on January 17, and in the West on January 18.
The game developed by Dimps is a third-person shooter role-playing game based in the fictional "Gun Gale Online" virtual-reality massively multiple online role-playing game. The fictional game is featured in the Sword Art Online II television anime series as well as the Sword Art Online Alternative Gun Gale Online anime. Sword Art Online: Fatal Bullet is the franchise's first game based in Gun Gale Online. Original light novel creator Reki Kawahara supervised the game's original story. Players' choices and interaction determine the course of the story. Players can create skills and abilities and utilize new weapons.
