Sword Art Online: Fatal Bullet Complete Edition Game Launches in Japan on January 17

New version for PS4, Xbox One, Steam includes 3 previous DLC releases, new expansion content

Bandai Namco Entertainment began streaming a commercial on Saturday for the Sword Art Online: Fatal Bullet Complete Edition game. The ad reveals the game's January 17 release date in Japan for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Steam.

The "Complete Edition" of the game features all three previous DLC releases and the new expansion content titled "Dissonance of the Nexus" ("Setsugen no Utahime" or "The Songstress of the Snowy Field" in Japanese).

The game's Complete Edition is also getting a release for the Nintendo Switch. Bandai Namco Entertainment will also release the "Complete Edition" for PS4, Xbox One, and Steam in English. The company also plans to release the "Complete Edition" for Switch in English.

Sword Art Online: Hollow Realization will also get a release on the Nintendo Switch in Japanese and English.

Sword Art Online: Fatal Bullet launched in Japan on February 8 for the PlayStation 4 and Xbox One, and in the West on February 23 on the same platforms. The game also launched on Steam worldwide on February 23.

The game developed by Dimps is a third-person shooter role-playing game based in the fictional "Gun Gale Online" virtual-reality massively multiple online role-playing game. The fictional game is featured in the Sword Art Online II television anime series as well as the Sword Art Online Alternative: Gun Gale Online anime. Sword Art Online: Fatal Bullet is the franchise's first game based in Gun Gale Online. Original light novel creator Reki Kawahara supervised the game's original story. Players' choices and interaction determine the course of the story. Players can create skills and abilities and utilize new weapons.
