Miru Tights Anime Blu-ray to Add Bonus 13th Episode, English Subtitles

posted on by Egan Loo
Chinese, Japanese subtitles also included in August 23 release

The official website for the Miru Tights web anime announced on Saturday that the anime's August 23 Blu-ray Disc will include a new bonus 13th episode, "Cosplay Satsuei Tights" (Cosplay Photoshoot Tights). The one-volume release will also include all 12 web episodes, subtitles (English, Traditional/Simplified Chinese, Japanese), soundtrack CD, booklet with a manga story by creator Yomu, inner jacket and leaflet illustrated by Yomu, book-style sleeve case illustrated by Yomu, and other bonuses to be revealed later.

In the 13th episode, Yua is asked to model an illustrator's designs as a costume for a photo collection the illustrator is producing. Concerned for Yua, Ren offers to accompany Yua to the photoshoot, and Homi somehow ends up rehearsing the photoshoot with Ren and Yua as models.

The anime debuted on the Nico Nico Channel and dAnime Store services in May, and the 12th and final episode of the main web anime began streaming on Saturday. The official YouTube channel for the anime is also streaming the episodes with English subtitles, as well as Traditional Chinese and Simplified Chinese subtitles.

The anime stars:

  • Yōko Hikasa as Yua Nakabeni, who likes 30 denier tights (sheer)
  • Haruka Tomatsu as Ren Aikawa, who likes 60 denier tights (opaque)
  • Aya Suzaki as Homi Moegi, who likes 110 denier tights (thick)
  • Ai Kayano as Yuiko Okuzumi, the 27-year-old homeroom teacher who is popular among the students. She likes 20 denier tights (sheer)

Yomu, an illustrator whose work typically focuses on women in tights, wrote the original story.

Yuki Ogawa (Ōya-san wa Shishunki!) directed the anime at Yokohama Animation Lab and Fumiaki Maruto (Classroom Crisis, Saekano: How to Raise a Boring Girlfriend) wrote the series. Yukari Hibino designed the characters, and SHADE composed the music. The three cast members each sang their own solo version of the anime's ending theme song "True Days" as their respective characters.
