Maneki-kecak Perform New Ending Theme for GeGeGe no Kitarō Anime

5-member idol group previously performed anime's 1st ending theme

The official website for the current GeGeGe no Kitarō anime announced on August 31 that the five-member female idol group Maneki-kecak will perform the new ending theme song "Aru Wake nai no Sono Oku ni" for the anime. The new theme song will premiere in the show on October 6. Maneki-kecak previously performed the first ending theme song for the anime.

Stardust Revue are performing the current ending theme song "Ushimitsu Jamboree." The song debuted in the show in July.

The anime premiered in April 2018 and replaced Dragon Ball Super in the same timeslot. The show entered its "second year" in April. Crunchyroll is streaming the series as it airs.

Kouji Ogawa is serving as series director while Hiroshi Ohnogi (Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood) is handling series composition. Sorato Shimizu is the character designer and chief animation director. Yasuharu Takanashi (Fairy Tail) and -yaiba- (Naruto Shippuden) are composing the music. Fuji TV, Yomiuri Advertising, and Toei Animation are producing.

Update: Corrected theme song Maneki-kecak previously performed for the anime, as well as the mention of the current ending theme song.
