Actor Rene Auberjonois Passes Away at 79

Actor Rene Auberjonois passed away on Sunday, December 8 due to metastatic lung cancer. He was 79.

Auberjonois was a prolific actor on both stage and the screen, and he is perhaps best known for his roles as Odo in Star Trek: Deep Space 9 and Father John Mulcahy in the 1970 MASH film. He played many roles over the decades in various American films and television series, and also voice acted in animated series and games, where he played Janos Audron in the Legacy of Kain game series. In anime, he voiced the character Professor Genius in the English version of the Japanese-American co-produced film Little Nemo - Adventures in Slumberland, and also voiced the character natori in the Studio Ghibli film The Cat Returns.
