Publisher Izanagi Games announced on Thursday that it will publish game developer MyDearest's DYSCHRONIA: Chronos Alternate virtual reality game. The two companies will hold an online press conference for the game on October 28.

Izanagi Games teased the game's release for Nintendo Switch, stating, "What happens when you mix the Nintendo Switch and VR? You'll just have to wait and see!"

The game is scheduled to launch in early 2022.

The game will take place in the "Chronos Universe," which is where the company's ALTDEUS: Beyond Chronos and TOKYO CHRONOS games take place.

ALTDEUS: Beyond Chronos launched for Oculus Quest and Oculus Rift on December 3, then launched on SteamVR on February 19 and PlayStation VR on April 15. The single-player VR adventure game features English and Japanese audio tracks and subtitles in English, Japanese, Chinese, French, and German.

Sekai Project launched a Kickstarter campaign for the Tokyo Chronos visual novel in July 2018, and the campaign raised US$90,625, surpassing the original funding goal of US$75,000. The game launched for Oculus and Vive via Steam in March 2019, and then launched physically and digitally for PlayStation VR in August 2019 in Japan. Sekai Games also released the game for PS VR in August 2019.
