Countdown to Countdown Animated Series' Trailer Streamed

Studio Countdown is streaming this week the official trailer for Countdown to Countdown, a new animated series set to premiere in late 2026. The show is based on the webtoon Countdown to Countdown by Velinxi, known for other acclaimed works such as Daughter of a Thousand Faces and DPS Only!
Countdown to Countdown follows Iris Black, a self-proclaimed inventor living in a correctional facility for Demifloras, or humans with superhuman abilities. Ostracized by peers and his mother for his uncontrollable power to bring drawings to life, Iris's life changes when an outsider sneaks into the facility, offering him a new chance to use his abilities without fear.
The animated adaptation aims to maintain Velinxi's original art style while expanding the series' reach to new audiences.
“We're blown away by the amount of love and support we've received for this project, from Velinxi and from fans of her comics,” said Cedric Kim, executive producer and founder of Studio Countdown. “We started as a group of friends building this adaptation as a passion project. We never expected to be noticed by Vel, and we certainly never expected it to grow so quickly. I'm incredibly excited to reveal this new trailer to give all the fans a glimpse of what we're working on.”
