Naver Webtoon revealed the trailer for the webtoon-based live-action film My Daughter is a Zombie on May 22.

In the film, Jung-hwan (played by Jung-suk Cho) travels to the seaside village of Eunbong-ri, where his mother Bamsun (played by Jung-eun Lee) lives, to protect his daughter Soo-ah (played by Yu-ri Choi) — who has become the last remaining zombie in the world. The movie is slated to open in South Korea in July.

The original webtoon, drawn by Yun-Chang Lee, was serialized on Naver Webtoon between 2018 and 2020.

The story of the original webtoon reads:

One year after an unprecedented zombie attack that killed hundreds of thousands, South Korea has finally been declared zombie-free. But Jeonghwan holds a secret: his daughter is the last zombie left on earth. When her cravings are satisfied and her violent tendencies die down, it almost seems like there's hope for her to have a normal life. But how long can he keep Su-ah a secret from everyone else?

Fans can read the official English version of the webtoon on WEBTOON.
