Drecom announced at its panel at Anime Expo on Saturday that J-Novel Club will publish writer Damu Amato and illustrator Shirabii's The Girl with the Green Eyes: Heir to a Monstermancer (Mamono Tsukai no Musume: Midori no Hitomi no Shōjo) novel series in English.

The series won the grand prize in the 2nd Drecom Media Awards.

Drecom published the first volume in December 2024, and will publish the second volume on July 10.

In the story, a witch named Lingreen is said to have subjugated the monsters that the Demon King once created. Her descendant, Leen, has the same ability. After she saves a witch hunter and adventurer named Hakura, Leen hires Hakura to be her bodyguard, and the two start traveling together. The two encounter many issues not just caused by monsters, but also by humans.

MITA, Gudan, and Red Seven produced a promotional webtoon adaptation of the novel.

ANN reached out to J-Novel Club for comment but did not receive a response by press time.

Update: Revised article to note it is a series and not a one-volume novel. Thanks, LegitPancake.
