AUGUST 8, 2003 (SAN FRANCISCO, CA) -- VIZ, LLC, is proud to announce the acquisition of another new title in The SHONEN JUMP Graphic Novel line -- KNIGHTS OF THE ZODIAC (SAINT SEIYA). Bringing the most action-packed, popular titles directly from Japan, this new, highly anticipated SHONEN JUMP title will launch with the first volume in January 2004. In Japan, the accumulated sales of KNIGHTS OF THE ZODIAC (SAINT SEIYA) for all volumes combined was 1.33 million copies.

A sneak preview of the first chapter is scheduled for the December issue (on sale November 4) of the Monthly Shonen Jump Magazine, available at all major retailers and newsstands.
This famed Japanese property formerly known as SAINT SEIYA will also be airing on Cartoon Network beginning in August 2003. Cartoon Network will be airing 40 episodes of this property, Bandai has been awarded the master toy license for the U.S. and Canada, and ADV has the distribution rights for home video.
