Anime-zing Encounter with Crispin Freeman

WAUCONDA, IL –Meet talented voice actor and director Crispin Freeman at Anime-zing Encounter with Crispin Freeman, Saturday, October 15, 2005, at the Lake County Discovery Museum near Wauconda. This exciting event is part of the Museum's ongoing celebration of Japanese animation and includes a presentation by Freeman on mythology in anime, a meet and greet with the actor, and a film festival featuring his work.
Freeman will discuss mythology and its uses in anime during the Mythological Anime Presentation from 10-11:30 am. This presentation will also highlight the differences and similarities between Eastern and Western mythological storytelling. Registration and prepayment is required for this program. Cost is $10 per person, which includes Museum admission. Call 847-968-3321 to register.
Fans can get an autograph and have their picture taken with Freeman during the Crispin Freeman Meet and Greet from 12:30 to 2:30 pm. Freeman's voice work will be showcased in the Crispin Freeman Film Festival from 11:30-4:00 pm. Featured titles include Wolf's Rain, Hellsing, Witch Hunter Robin, Last Exile and The Irresponsible Captain Tylor. The meet and greet and film festival are free with Museum admission.
One of the most popular English-language voice actors in anime, Crispin Freeman has voiced characters in films and television shows such as Revolutionary Girl Utena, Wolf's Rain, Hellsing, The Irresponsible Captain Tylor, and Howl's Moving Castle. His appearance at the Museum is one of the special events being held in conjunction with the Museum's new exhibit on Japanese anime, “Anime-zing: The World of Japanese Animation.”

Museum Gallery Hours and Admission
The Lake County Discovery Museum is located on Route 176 just west of Fairfield Road and east of Wauconda in Lakewood Forest Preserve. Gallery hours are Monday – Saturday from 11 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Sunday from 1 p.m. to 4:30 p.m.
Admission is $6 for adults and $2.50 for youth ages four to 17. Children three years and under are free. Seniors are $2.50 after 2 p.m. On Discount Tuesdays, admission is $3 for adults, and youth 17 years and under are free. Admission is always free for Friends of the Lake County Discovery Museum members.
