Crunchyroll Hosts Anime Night at the 2010 J-Pop Summit in San Francisco

Online leader in streaming anime and drama to feature re-mastered 5 CENTIMETERS PER SECOND at the 2nd Annual J-Pop Summit

San Francisco, Calif. (August 25, 2010) ­ Crunchyroll will commence the first ever Anime Night at the 2010 J-Pop Summit located at the New People building in the heart of the San Francisco Japan town on Tuesday Sept. 14 with doors opening at 6:30 pm PDT. More information at www.crunchyroll.com.

Crunchyroll will kick off the event by screening a newly re-mastered version of Makoto Shinkai¹s classic anime 5 CENTIMETERS PER SECOND. There will be two (2) screenings at 7:00 pm and 8:45 PDT with a VIP event in between both screenings for fans to meet and greet. Attendees will also receive a free gift pack and will be automatically entered in for a chance to win and walk away with some great prizes!

Pre-sale tickets for each screening are $10 USD and can be purchased at the official 2010 J-Pop Summit home page. More information on tickets and event details can be found at http://www.j-pop.com. Tickets are limited and on a first-come, first-served basis.

The J-Pop Summit begins on Monday, September 13th and continuing every evening through Friday, September 17th, with different aspects of Japanese and Asian film, anime, fashion design, music and other forms of pop culture being celebrated in a series of unique screenings, interactive discussions, multimedia presentations and live performances. Special gift bags containing a variety of fun premiums will be given to all ticket holders each night.
