'Turkey!' Unveils Second Trailer and Third Key Visual—Featuring Five New Cast Members: Noriko Hidaka, Yuko Minaguchi, Kikuko Inoue, Miki Ito, and Rei Sakuma (With Comments Included)
The second trailer and third key visual for the TV anime Turkey!, produced by BAKKEN RECORD and set in Chikuma City, Nagano Prefecture, have just been released.
The story follows five members of Ikkokukan High School's bowling club, who suddenly time travel back to Japan's Sengoku Era. There, they experience unforgettable encounters and a coming-of-age journey as they interact with the Tokura family of that era.
Joining the cast are five renowned voice actresses:
Noriko Hidaka as Sumomo,
Yūko Minaguchi as Akebi,
Kikuko Inoue as Suguri,
Miki Itō as Anzu,
and Rei Sakuma as Natsume.
Each of them has shared special comments for the fans.
[Sumomo (VA:Noriko Hidaka)]
I never imagined I'd get to play a princess from the Sengoku Era!
And to top it off, I got to voice one of the sisters alongside close friends from my generation, which made the recording sessions a lot of fun. I'd be so happy if viewers could watch over the princesses and the modern-day high school girls as they grow and connect with one another.
[Akebi (VA:Yūko Minaguchi)]
I've been so excited for Turkey! to finally begin airing.
Their story is so bright and heartfelt—I truly hope many people will follow it through.
I feel incredibly lucky and happy to be part of this project as Akebi.
[Suguri (VA:Kikuko Inoue)]
It's an honor to play Suguri, a brave and noble character who wields a sword.
The story is full of unexpected twists, emotional depth, and the kind of bonds that transcend time—it moved me so many times! It's such a wonderful series, and I hope you'll stay with it until the very end.
[Anzu (VA:Miki Itō)]
I'm so glad I got to be part of such a beautiful story.
It's a tale that's a little ticklish, a little bittersweet, a little exciting, and a little anxious—all wrapped up in the warmth of summer's end.
Please enjoy all the ups and downs of these charming girls and their journey!
[Natsume (VA:Rei Sakuma)]
The story goes far beyond anything I imagined, and I think you'll find yourself more and more drawn in with each episode. Watching the girls face themselves head-on and grow stronger without running away was incredibly refreshing. They reminded me just how powerful it is to believe—in yourself and in others.
