Niuhi iPhone App Launches Today
A new era begins for global indie manga with fresh features, stories, and creator-driven experiences
Tokyo, Japan – December 1, 2025 – KOMODO is delighted to announce that NIUHI, the next-generation manga platform, is now officially available on the iPhone App Store in the United States and Japan. After a year of beta service on desktop, NIUHI's mobile debut marks a bold new chapter—bringing indie manga, global stories, and creative communities together in one accessible, intuitive app.
With the launch, readers can now browse, purchase, and enjoy manga and comics from around the world directly from their iPhone, with new features designed to make manga discovery more social, more personal, and more fun.
To celebrate the launch, a new chapter of MOON CIDERS is now available — and NIUHI is also running a special campaign where the first 50 participants can receive one free title of their choice.
A New Way to Read and Explore Manga
The NIUHI app introduces several features that enhance both reading and community engagement:
■Global Manga Library
NIUHI brings together manga and comics from Japan, the U.S., Hong Kong, and beyond—expanding its catalog with new works from indie creators and established artists. Many titles make their English debut on NIUHI, opening the door for more readers to enjoy stories from around the world.
■Creator Profile Pages
Creators now have a dedicated space to showcase their work with customizable profile photos, cover images, country flags, and social links—making it easier for fans to discover and follow their favorite artists.
■User Profiles & Favorite Shelf
Readers can curate up to six of their favorite purchased titles on a beautifully designed bookshelf, and discover new manga and comics by browsing the favorite shelves of other users within the community.
■Profile Customization & Rewards
Through NIUHI Rewards, users can unlock special avatars by reaching reading milestones such as finishing five or ten books. Avatars include characters from What the Muck: the end of the world, MOON CIDERS, and NIUHI's original mascots.
Users who create an account between December 1 and December 31 will receive a limited-edition bonus avatar.
■Community Translations
Fans can support creators by contributing human-powered translations using NIUHI's built-in translation tools. With more than 35 languages supported, NIUHI expands access to global manga and helps creators reach broader audiences.
Celebrating With MOON CIDERS Episode 3
Releasing alongside the app, MOON CIDERS Episode 3 is now available for free only on NIUHI.
The episode highlights quieter emotional moments and deeper memories within its sci-fi action world, giving readers a new lens on the unfolding story.
Episodes 1 and 2 remain free to read, allowing fans to jump in immediately.
ー To mark the launch, NIUHI has kicked off a fun SNS campaign — the NIUHI Spot-the-Secrets Challenge. Fans are invited to search the NIUHI website for two hidden “mystery secrets” described on NIUHI's official social accounts.
