Dark Auction Launches Worldwide Today on Nintendo Switch™, PlayStation®5, and Steam® — First New Console Title in 15 Years by Rika Suzuki of “Another Code” and “Hotel Dusk: Room 215”
TOKYO – Jan. 29, 2026 - IzanagiGames, Inc. and Good Smile Company, Inc. today announced the release of the new mystery adventure game Dark Auction, written and scenarized by Rika Suzuki (acclaimed writer of Another Code/ Hotel Dusk: Room215), is now available on Nintendo Switch™, PlayStation®5, and Steam®, and the original soundtrack has also been released simultaneously.
Additionally, A free demo is now available. The prologue through the end of Chapter 1, including the exploration and auction sections, which includes over three hours of exciting gameplay, is now available for gamers to check out on Steam and PlayStation 5.

Dark Auction tells the story of Noah, who sets out alone into a mysterious castle deep in the Black Forest in search of his father, who never returned after attending a secret auction. There, he witnesses a shocking scene and encounters something that…should not be of this world. Soon, Noah realizes he is trapped in the castle along with other participants. To uncover the truths hidden in the auction items, he must follow the rules and take part in this strange auction.

Over a long period of time, I continued to think about what should be depicted in this world—and what should not.The truths revealed at the auction are never meant to judge anyone.Guided by unexpected fate, Noah comes to face the pasts of others.
What he learns is not only righteousness, but also doubt, regret, and feelings people wanted to protect.Knowing the truth does not always bring salvation.
Even so, Noah continues to choose, so as not to trample on anyone's life.Hesitating, getting hurt, and still reaching out—
What you will witness in this castle is not fate, but “will.”Please watch over the answers Noah reaches and the future he chooses.

I am Kosuke, in charge of character design.Having done almost no work outside of manga, I was honestly nervous about how much I could accomplish, and whether I could properly convey the lives and emotions that Ms. Suzuki envisioned.At the same time, I was thrilled to be involved in character design, which I had always admired, and felt great joy in bringing the characters to life and increasing their depth.I would be happy if you enjoy the artwork of Dark Auction as well.Director & Producer: Shinsuke Umeda
I am Shinsuke Umeda, Director and Producer of Dark Auction.This project began with a conversation with Rika Suzuki about “what kind of story we could create,” and before we knew it, more than five years had passed.Through repeated discussions, 고민, and trial and error, Ms. Suzuki's deep yet delicate scenario, Kosuke's wonderful character designs, and the music including live jazz performances gradually formed a unified world.The experience of moving between 3D exploration and auctions while approaching the truth is something unique to Dark Auction, reached after many years of development.We would be extremely happy if as many people as possible could experience this world and its story.
